The Process of Becoming Catholic

1. RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)
   RCIA is the primary program through which adults learn about the Catholic faith, prepare for the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist, and become fully initiated members of the Church.

   • Who can join?
     • Unbaptized individuals.
     • Baptized Christians from other denominations.
     • Catholics who have not yet received their First Communion or Confirmation.
   • Duration: The RCIA process typically lasts from September to Easter, with weekly meetings.

2. RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children)
   For children who have reached the age of reason (7 years or older) and are seeking baptism, our RCIC program is designed to help them understand the teachings of the Church and prepare for the sacraments.

What to Expect

• Learning about the Faith: You will explore the teachings of the Catholic Church, including the Bible, sacraments, prayer, and Catholic traditions.
• Spiritual Formation: Through prayer, reflection, and community, you will grow in your relationship with God and prepare to live out your faith.
• Sacraments of Initiation: Depending on your starting point, you may receive one or all of the following sacraments:
  • Baptism (if unbaptized)
  • First Communion
  • Confirmation
