The Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON) is a dynamic and vibrant community of young Catholics at St. Louis Catholic Church. As part of a nationwide movement, CYON seeks to inspire and empower young people to live out their Catholic faith boldly and with passion. Through fellowship, service, and spiritual growth, we aim to be leaders in the Church and in our communities, making a lasting impact for Christ.

Our Mission
Our mission is to unite young Catholics in their faith, inspire them to be active members of the Church, and encourage them to serve others. We strive to provide a platform for youth to grow spiritually, socially, and intellectually while embracing the teachings of the Church. CYON seeks to build a strong foundation for future leaders of the Church and society.

Who Can Join?
CYON is open to all young Catholics within the parish, typically ranging from [14-35 years]. Whether you are a student, a young professional, or just beginning your adult journey, we welcome you to be part of this movement to deepen your faith, build meaningful relationships, and serve others in love.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

• Spiritual Formation: We meet regularly for prayer, reflection, Bible study, and other spiritual activities that deepen our connection to God and the Church.
• Youth Events: CYON organizes retreats, youth Masses, conferences, and workshops that allow young people to grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith and in their personal relationship with Christ.
• Fellowship & Community: We foster a sense of belonging by providing opportunities for youth to connect with each other, build friendships, and support one another in their faith journeys.
• Service Projects: Our members actively participate in charity work, community outreach, and parish events. From supporting the elderly to engaging in environmental initiatives, CYON members strive to make a difference in both the Church and the broader society.
• Leadership Development: CYON provides training and opportunities for young people to develop their leadership skills, preparing them to become active leaders in the Church and in their communities.
